Granite & Limestone

Red Granite

Red granite is a very tough angular stone, suitable for ground cover which adds colour to the garden. Can be used in combination with other colours or to highlight certain areas.

Green Granite

The green granite is the same as the red in texture and adds colour to any garden, can be used as ground cover or on beds and borders or around specimen trees or shrubs.

Cotswold Limestone (20mm)

This is an off white, angular limestone. It is not as tough and durable as other gravels, but can be useful to brighten up areas as a decorative gravel.

It is useful as a temporary surface where further work is to be carried out, for example on paths and drives which will be paved late on as it makes a cleaner surface than crushed limestone. Over time, it weathers to a more grey colour.

Derbyshire Limestone (20mm)

Also known as dove grey or Buxton limestone, this is a very durable gravel chipping. Highly recommended for drives and paths, it forms a much better driving surface than round gravels as it locks together, being irregular in shape.
